The day should reflect what you desire, I will take care of the legal side and you do the rest!”

ABOUT TURRET LODGE
We know how important your wedding day is and we invite you to share our home to make your day extra special. We love our home and its exceptional grounds and thank you for considering us as your wedding venue.
Our home and garden layout means that we can host both your garden ceremony and reception.
We can work together to make the day happen the formal front lawn area can hold a large marquee once decorated with a wedding aisle, and urns of flowers. After the ceremony you can capture moments throughout the grounds or within the homestead, or use the garden as your backdrop – your choice.
The front lawn provides enough space to place a marquee with additional accommodation for caterer tents and equipment. The available area means you can select the style of marquee that matches your wedding theme. With silk linings for the roof, your choice of doorways, entrance ways and windows surrounded with fairy lights the basis of the reception is set.
The caterers have amble area to create the wedding menu of your choice and serve accordingly.
Turret Lodge is a five bedroom homestead that has accommodation for several people on a shared basis.
You are free to book the required amount of rooms that you require. If our accommodation is fully utilised by your guests, we allow self-contained caravans to stay. When you choose Turret Lodge for your wedding, we give you exclusive use of the house and grounds so you can plan your perfect day.
There are also B&B Accommodation, motels etc nearby in Bulls, Marton and Hunterville.
We would love to host your ceremony and reception and we’ll do our best to provide you with the options that work for you. We know that one size does not fit all. At the end of the day its about you and your day that comes first – we will make it work.

▢ Choose outfits for mother of the bride and mother of the groom.
3–6 Months Before
▢ Finalize your guest list.
▢ Choose the reader for your ceremony.
▢ Finalize your order with the florist.
▢ Reserve the men’s wedding attire.
▢ Make an appointment with your hairdresser
2 Months Before
▢ Send invitations.
▢ Decide on your wedding vows or compose your own. Finalise the reception menus.
▢ Purchase gifts for parents and attendants.
▢ Make appointments for nails and make-up.
▢ Schedule final dress fitting.
1 Month Before
▢ Apply for a marriage license.
▢ Plan the rehearsal dinner.
▢ Meet with photographer and videographer.
2 Weeks Before
▢ Have a party for the attendants.
▢ Draft the speeches.
▢ Finalize reception details.
▢ Call any guests who have not replied.
▢ Meet with your make-up artist and hairdresser.
▢ Deliver song lists to musicians or playlists to the disc jockey.
▢ Confirm honeymoon reservations.
1 Week Before
▢ Wedding rehearsal.
▢ Finalise seating plan.
▢ Determine the order for the procession.
▢ Pick up the attire for the groomsmen.
▢ Deliver your marriage license to the officiant.
▢ Confirm the final numbers with the caterer.
▢ Confirm details with the limousine company.
▢ Draw up a seating arrangement for the reception and write out the place cards.
▢ Choose someone to hand out the wedding favours.
