Marton is the hub of the scenic rural Rangitikei with its remarkable bush-clad cliffs, rolling hills and majestic river terrace landscapes, with the rural service towns of Taihape to the north and Bulls to the south. The Rangitikei region’s largest town, Marton is centrally placed in an ideal location to explore the Rangitikei and its surrounding districts with their snow skiing in winter, and walking, tramping, trout fishing, tramping, hunting, horse trekking, jet boating, bungy-jumping, abseiling, kayaking and white water rafting in the warmer spring, summer and autumn months.
