Turret Lodge is set in a quiet safe neighborhood with large garden and grounds surrounding the lodge, creating that relaxed get-away-from-it-all ambiance. The tree-lined streets of Marton are graced with beautiful character buildings, homes and gardens, with pockets of vintage cottages and villas within an easy distance of the town’s CBD.

Turret Lodge is less than a 2 minute drive to from the Marton’s shopping centre and park recreation areas, local supermarkets and shops, cafes, restaurants and schools as well as prestigious local boarding Schools Nga Tawa and Huntley Colleges, and is in the centre of the Rangitikei’s antique, historic architecture and garden trails. Local taxi service is available. As well as being close by the emerging heritage towns of Bulls, Sanson, Feilding, Hunterville and Taihape, with their variety of boutique shops and eateries in a country atmosphere, with local antique, historic homes architecture and garden tours.

Marton is the hub of the scenic rural Rangitikei with its remarkable bush-clad cliffs, rolling hills and majestic river terrace landscapes, with the rural service towns of Taihape to the north and Bulls to the south. The Rangitikei region’s largest town, Marton is centrally placed in an ideal location to explore the Rangitikei and its surrounding districts with their snow skiing in winter, and walking, tramping, trout fishing,  tramping, hunting, horse trekking, jet boating, bungy-jumping, abseiling, kayaking and white water rafting in the warmer spring, summer and autumn months. The Ohakea Air Force Base and Feilding’s Manfeild Park car racing circuit are also nearby, as is the National Army Museum at Waiouru. Tongariro National Park and Mt Ruapehu are also close by and both Palmerston North  and Wanganui (regional airport) are within a 45 minute drive while Wellington (International airport), Taranaki (regional airport) and Taupo (local airport), are all only a 2 hour drive away. National and Regional bus services are available, and the Auckland-Wellington Train at Palmerston North.
